This one product replaces the 501, 507A and 511 pliers which have been unchanged since 1992. The 501a and 506a appear to be identical except for the lower jaw (501a has a fixed lower jaw, the 506a has a swivel-tip lower jaw). There is still a Proto version of the 501a in stock that is identical to Facom and considerably cheaper.
