USAG/Facom 1/2" Drive Deep Socket for Mercedes/Maybach-17mm (NS.MB) - the Facom NSB.17 socket was the original factory tool for safe and effective removal of the convex ("flower head") lug bolts on late model Mercedes S-class (W221), GLK-class, M-class, GLE-class (2020-), CL-class and Maybach cars. Facom/USAG offers the specialty impact socket for the wheel bolt removal and replacement of these unique wheel bolts. The NS.MB socket has a plastic sleeve to protect the alloys and looks to be a bit beefier than the "original" convex socket (Facom has since improved the original socket). This socket also fits the bolts a bit tighter...this is a good thing in theory but a bolt with a heavily deformed aluminum cover may not fit the socket like the old NSB.17.
I stock both the NS.MB and NSB.17 sockets. For new bolts with little or no deformity, go with the newer NS.MB. For older bolts where the aluminum cover has been deformed through the use of impact drivers, you'll have to use the older NSB.17 socket. The sockets I stock are branded and packaged as USAG and have a "US warranty". The Facom version has to be sent back to France for warranty consideration.
