Facom JET Mobile Tool Boxes

Tool Storage - Ideas and Organization

 

Facom offers an overwhelming selection of JET Series mobile tool boxes, in 3 different widths and 5-drawer to 11-drawer configurations. Here are my top 3 choices (available in Red or Black) plus 2 Expansion boxes if more storage is required.

General Mechanical & Auto Detailing - JET.6M3 or JET.6M4

Mechanical Only - JET.9M3

Expansion Box (4-drawer Top Box) - JET.C4M3 or JET.C4M4

Other sizes are available upon request (call or email for pricing) and custom colors must be ordered in lots of 6 of the same product. Lead time for the JET toolboxes is approximately 4-6 weeks. Most of the Facom tools and JET accessories are kept in stock (in NJ) and available for immediate shipment.

The Facom boxes are shown below with current pricing and photos of each in RED or BLACK. Price does not include shipping from the US point of entry but does include all trans-Atlantic freight and customs fees. Shipping cost via Fedex Freight is typically $250-300 for the first box but only $50-100 for each additional box included as part of the shipment. Costs will be slightly higher for inside or tailgate delivery. JET cabinets can also be picked up at my NJ location.

(Note-you can also source these from various online Facom dealers in the UK but shipping cost to the US is $650-750 per box.)

Here are a few tool layout ideas using many of the current Facom foam tool modules. Some module sets are only available in plastic trays. The drawer footprint for these toolboxes is 569x421mm (22.40" x 16.57") . These sets can be used in non-Facom toolboxes* but please check the drawer inside dimensions before ordering.

Layout below features metric tools (fractional sets also available) and has been tailored to the high end European car and motorcycle enthusiast. Cabinet is a 9-drawer JET.9M3.

*Craftsman 26" tool boxes have inside drawer dimensions of 22.375" x 16.50". Facom foam tray sets will fit snugly in these drawers (a 1/16" would need to be trimmed off the front to back dimension to make them fit perfectly).

 

Drawer 1 (Socket Tool Sets) - All JET Toolboxes come with multiple 60mm deep (approx 2 1/2") drawers. I usually put my sockets sets in the top drawer as these are used most frequently. Metric sets shown (left to right) are a 1/4" drive set (MODM.R1A), a 3/8" drive set (MODM.J5) and a 1/2" drive set (MODM.S1A). Fractional sets are also available and kept in stock. These laser cut foam trays are washable and can be purchased separately to build additional sets or replace trays that are no longer cosmetically acceptable. Price as Shown above - $945.00

Drawer 3-Option A (Moto Tools) - for use in a Facom JET toolbox 60mm deep (approx 2 1/2") drawer. These tools are suited for work on motorcycles with a belt tension gauge used on many Ducati bikes. Tools shown are the Tee-Handle Socket Wrench set (MODM.99B), the Timing Belt Tension Gauge tool (DM.16) and the 3 smallest 84TC Series Tee-handle hex keys (2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm). Drawer 6 (Miscellaneous) - for use in a Facom JET toolbox 60mm deep (approx 2 1/2") drawer. Left module is a Small Parts Storage Tray (PM.384) which includes compact puller U.14A (for battery terminals and wiper arms), round bubble level DELA.3180.5 for multi-directional level checks, vernier caliper 816 (0-150mm), and a 500 lumen Olight S1 flashlight with magnetic base. The middle set is Facom MT.J1, a 16pc Microtech tool set for electronics and detail work. The set on the far right is MODM.84TZS, a 7pc Tee-Handle Hex Key Set (3-10mm). Layout features the use of Facom's filler trays (PL.655 & PL.656) for a custom fit and additional storage. Recommended Set - Car Enthusiast

The original Ferrari collector set that was introduced in 2001 and the JET Legend set in 2009 were both based on similar 6-drawer cabinets. This latest generation of JET cabinets reflects a dramatic improvement over the earlier units (see video) ....larger size, far more features, greater number of accessories and better build quality. All Facom JET cabinets are made in France.
